The BaFin cease and desist order against Karatbars International has been completed.
Karatbars was issued a cease and desist order by BaFin, Germany’s leading financial regulator, in late 2019.
On April 12th, BaFin issued an order directing Karatbars, acting as Karatbit Foundation, a Belize shell company, to cease doing electronic money activity in Germany based on the issuing of the “KaratGoldCoin” without the required license.
Harald Seiz owns and operates Karatbars International and its affiliated enterprises.
Seiz spent the first half of 2021 mending his damaged social media reputation after a highly public collapse in late 2020.
Seiz announced a Karatbars International revival in June 2021, focused on the “Lifebase” shitcoin.
Seiz later took the announcement down. Neither the reboot nor Lifebase, as far as I know, happened.
Late in 2021, BehindMLM learned about fresh attempts to revive Karatabars.
Nothing has come out of the conversation as of yet.
