Beware of Meta Utopia & Nicholas Coppola- Review

BehindMLM just released their analysis on Meta Utopia.

A classic “metaverse” MLM crypto Ponzi scheme is Meta Utopia.

However, as part of our investigation, we established a link between Nicholas Coppola and the Ponzi scheme’s creator.

Or rather, he did it through an Instagram story that has since been deleted:

Coppola disliked being associated with Meta Utopia in the media, it was revealed. He only desires to run a covert crypto bro Ponzi scam.

Nicholas Coppola is now a member of BehindMLM’s DMCA Wall of Shame.

BehindMLM has received two emails from “Dincer Odabasi” of “Copyright Support” in the last twenty-four hours. The emails were sent on Nicholas Coppola’s behalf.

On their untrustworthy website, Copyright Support makes the following assertions:

It is necessary to methodically remove negative or reputation-damaging news from Google search results and the Internet.

Odabasi attempts to use the tried-and-true “right to be forgotten” ploy in his first email.

Hello, Madam

We submit the information in light of the right to be forgotten and request that it be forbidden by the privacy agreement.

We tried contacting the website that posted the item but got no answer. Therefore, we offer the material and advise that you disable it.

They have the option to make a complaint with the hosting company and ask that the content be removed by warning method, as stated in the first sentence of Article 9 of Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Broadcasts Made on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed Through These Broadcasts. if they are unable to access it.

The second paragraph of the same article states that “the content and/or hosting provider should reply within twenty-four hours at the latest to requests of those who believe that their rights have been violated due to the content of the broadcast on the Internet.”

We demand that the lawsuit that was brought by our representation be dismissed. Based on the European right to be forgotten and the right to the privacy of private life, we have the authority to place restrictions on material access.

Please note that the owner has been notified, but no answer has been received; as a result, we are asking you to remove the content. As a result, we implore and demand that you take it down.

This serves as a standard caution from these con artists. I am aware of this because Odabasi sent me an unrelated email that had an exact copy of the warning to Amazon, citing a different website and customer (Ruh Roh GDPR fail).

Legislators may have started with the best of intentions, but it is a truth that con artists utilize Europe’s Right to be Forgotten Act as a means of erasing their history.

Since BehindMLM operates outside of EU legislation, it does not respect the Right to be Forgotten. The timeframe for obtaining a takedown notification under the Right to be Forgotten in this case is four days after publication.

Odabasi continued by claiming that US law was affected by Turkish law, perhaps anticipating backlash.

Due to the Right to be Forgotten and the USA Legal Content Removal Request Under Law No. 5651, we are unable to delete the information about which we have informed you as required by the Constitution.

“The Right to be Forgotten and the USA Legal Content Removal Request” may be omitted. It is false.

The Turkish government enacted Law No. 5651 in 2020. Again, it just impacts Turkey; it has nothing to do with the US.

Odabasi followed up on his initial email a few hours later with a threat of copyright-related action.

Remove any content that breaches our representative’s privacy immediately.

Unfortunately, we will contact Google, your hosting provider, and submit a copyright claim if you don’t delete the news information.

I beg you to stop recounting this story.

Regards,

I AGREE WITH TEAM COPYRIGHT.

We frequently employ “third-party logos and photographs, (and) under US copyright law, this is acceptable under Fair Use,” as stated in BehindMLM’s DMCA Policy.

Without obtaining permission from the owners of the picture rights, BehindMLM uses copyright-protected photos in its coverage of and analysis of the MLM industry. Period.

Submitting a false DMCA request and failing to take Fair Use into account are examples of abusing the DMCA takedown procedure. The submitter has lied in addition to the fact that it won’t function.

Despite Copyright Support’s lack of care for the law, the hypocrisy should still be criticized.

The target publisher and/or other related service providers’ ignorance is the cornerstone of the business approach used by conglomerates like Copyright Support.

Nicholas Coppola has taken an active part in Meta Utopia and publicly allied himself with it to the point that he is linked to the Ponzi scheme’s unnamed originator.

No US law has been broken by making this material publicly accessible with supporting documentation.

DMCA scam has been improved by Dincer Odabasi. On July 2, 2022, it was written.

Using the same legal jargon, Odabasi gave Google a “court order” on June 28 to enforce the guidelines. It also says, despite being absurd:

We request that the content be withdrawn from the publication and made inaccessible by the rules of the court document that we will provide you with and the privacy clause of private life.

According to Odabasi, distinctive Turkish law is the “court document” that prohibits fraudsters from being reported from abroad. I’m sorry.
