MulaUp cycler Ponzi scam by Hanli Lombard has failed for the fourth time.
According to a recent investor newsletter, a fifth “MulaUp Mobile” revival is in the works.
In August 2022, BehindMLM evaluated the fourth MulaUp relaunch.
The scam was being run from “mulaup.com,” which has subsequently had its website hosting suspended.
According to a November 15th investor update;
MulaUP had virtually came to a halt three months ago. Our numbers remain stable, and our members are impatiently awaiting a solution.
The Mula crew appeared to be doing nothing the entire time. We’ve been silent, dark, and well concealed behind the scenes.
So date, the MulaUp cycler Ponzis have largely targeted South Africans. Lombard (right) and her associates plan to take the fraud global via MulaUp Mobile.
MulaUP Mobile will become online and operate in 200 [sic] countries globally!! MulaUP is now available globally!!
Despite MulaUp Mobile’s claim to South African MulaUp victims that they will be able to deceive consumers worldwide, MulaUp Mobile’s compensation scheme is still in ZAR:
You can continue to earn up to R1,600 by utilizing your Level 1 products:
Earn 10c every message sent with Mula-4-Chat.
Earn 10 cents for every minute you phone someone using Mula-4-Dial.
Earn R1 for every transaction over R100 with Mula-4-Money.
Earn R5 for each person who clicks on your Mula-4-Share link.
Your monthly profits will be limited at R1,600. You can thus use the items as often as you like, but if your profits reach R1,600, you will no longer get earnings until the next month begins.
Lombard had wanted to debut MulaUp Mobile at a local South African sporting event.
The best news is that we will officially introduce MulaUP Mobile at the MAP Games this year.
Every year, the MAP Games soccer event takes place. Every year, 1.8 million people attend this event.
This year, MulaUP and MulaUP Mobile will be the official sponsors [sic] of the MAP Games!!
The MAP Games will be held from November 2nd through December 16th. We will have scouts at the Games alerting people about MulaUP during this period.
I’m guessing MAP Games pulled the plug as they discovered their event was going to be used as a staging ground for Ponzi recruiting.
On November 8th, Lombard came up with the following cover story:
We had an investor who promised to help us fund the MAP Games, among other things.
There was a problem getting said monies due to a significant delay and technical challenges. As a result, we are no longer able to participate in the MAP Games.
MulaUP Mobile’s release date has also been pushed back slightly. But don’t worry, it’s not going away!
This was followed by a MulaUp marketing effort aimed towards youngsters on November 10th:
Remember that the Kids Special will stop at 12 a.m. tomorrow night. Get your children under the age of 18 in on the R200 deal while it lasts!!
The total number of MulaUp victims is unclear. According to one MulaUp investor newsletter, over 7000 South Africans have been duped.
According to one source, individual investors have lost up to 350,000 ZAR per transaction:
There are also members who paid large sums in mula for “nats and nodes” for you.
People were told that refunds would be issued by the end of September 2022, but this was later extended to the end of October, with no payouts.
MulaUp ringleaders Cormari Nel, Monica Fourie, Michaela Fourie, and Brieta Senekal, in addition to Lombard, are assisting in the operation and promotion of the Ponzi.
To date, no action has been taken by South African authorities against MulaUp, Hanli Lombard, or her co-conspirators.
