Richard Anzalone, an Infinity2Global defendant, drowned in Hawaii.
Anzalone’s death isn’t complicated. According to a KITV newscast dated October 17th;
Anzalone, 61, was on his way to Oahu from Nevada.
Paramedics attended to a drowning cardiac arrest case in Koolina Lagoon 3 on Friday, October 14, 2022, about 1:51 p.m. The man was found unresponsive by lifeguards.
On November 23rd, the DOJ submitted a request to dismiss Anzalone’s charges. On November 30th, the court dismissed the lawsuit.
Anzalone, 61, was charged with Infinity2Global Ponzi scam in 2017.
Anzalone pled guilty to one count of securities fraud a few months before the much-delayed trial.
Anzalone was supposed to be sentenced back in August. That, I assume, was postponed pending the outcome of the divided Infinity2Global trial.
Anzalone’s legacy is that of a serial fraudster who duped people through one Ponzi scheme after another.
The most recent post on Anzalone’s personal Facebook page in December 2016 is a photo of him with Russ Medlin.
Medlin was the mastermind behind the $722 million BitClub Network Ponzi scam.
Indicted in the United States in 2019, Medlin was detained in Indonesia on child sex allegations a few months later.
